Check the validity of ID/Passport and driver's license
Update the navigation system
Inspect the car before long journeys
Settle open bills and letters
Organize home care (empty mailbox, water plants)
Arrange pet care
Note addresses for postcards
Get cash
Insert credit card
Make copies of important documents such as ID/passport
Note emergency phone numbers, e.g., emergency doctor, credit card block
Close windows and doors, lower shutters if necessary
Activate answering machine or call forwarding
Empty trash bins
